On 9 October, digital culture lecturers Dr Tim Jordan and Dr Paolo Gerbaudo took part in an event entitled “tweets and the streets” as part of the Times Cheltenham Literature festival. The panelists also included BBC News technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones and author and cultural commentator Tom Chatfield. They discussed how social media and the digital age are reshaping the protest movement and the relationship between people and power.
