Annual Tony Allan Memorial Lecture

The annual lecture was set up in memory of Professor Tony Allan, a Professor in the Department of Geography. He was a distinguished scholar, most noted for his ground-breaking work on virtual water. Tony’s work reshaped thinking on water management and policy, with global impact.

The Tony Allan Memorial Lecture Series honours his legacy and aims to bring about thought-provoking, critical debate around key questions on the water-food issues, regenerative farming and broader aspects on the political economy of water.

Tony was a great contributor to the department, students, scientific and policy colleagues. Through the lectures we continue to bring together diverse research, professional and practitioner communities.

The series is organised by King’s Water Centre and the Department of Geography.
