Module description
What is the module about?
The module Legal Aspects of Management aims to give students an introduction to some key legal areas relevant to business law. This module will develop a sound basic understanding of the principles of various aspects of law relating to business.
The module concentrates on developing the student's understanding of important aspects of business law, looking at business relationships, agency and the business organisation. The module assessment will require students to identify and use relevant legal sources to analyse the relevant areas of law and apply it to the questions set. This will develop the student's ability to research and evaluate the law and apply it to a legal issue within a business context.
The coursework assessment will test the student's research and understanding of the legal issues and assess their ability to analyse and apply them to business related scenarios. In addition to the summative assessment, students will have the opportunity in tutorials to reflect on their understanding of the law through discussions of problems and other questions.
