Module description

Spanish/American Theatres: Acts of Translation and Performance’ will allow students to use knowledge and skills acquired in previous study to develop an understanding of theatre and performance in the Spanish and Spanish American world. It is offered to students who have followed foundation and elective courses in the literature and culture of Spain and Spanish America, and who will normally have spent one year in a Spanish-speaking country. In this way, it allows a degree of specialisation and independent research, which is an aim of our courses at this level. The course is devised to build on work done in course units on theatre, cultural history and the theory and practice of the Spanish language.
