What is the module about?
This course aims to introduce students to theories and practices of international human resource management (IHRM). The course helps students critically examine the influence of national institutions and culture on the choice and effectiveness of HRM practices. Building on a discussion of the challenges and opportunities firms face in managing people and workplaces at the global level, the course will help students reflect about the role of HRM policies and practices in achieving desired employee and organizational outcomes.

Students who have an interest in the management of people in an international context.
Assessment details
70% coursework (1500 words)
30% group coursework (2000 words)
Students have the option to self-select into groups, with those not doing so allocated by the module leader.
