This module will provide students with core background and fundamental knowledge of mathematical tools that will be used for the rest of the Biomedical Engineering degree. It will focus on complex numbers, vectors and matrices, differentiation, integration, series and expansions, and differential equations. Functions of more than one variable will be considered.
Semester 1-only Study abroad students will be set an alternative assessment to the January exam.
On completion of the course learners should be able to:
