Educational aims & objectives

This module aims to:

  • develop students' understanding of the theoretical, cultural and practical dimensions of the relation between creativity, culture and digital industries;
  • provide an overview of the role of the Internet in today's economy, both from a business and audience points of view;
  • critically examine some of the fastest-growing sectors in the digital industry, with practical examples and seminar activities;
  • provide a balanced representation of positive and more critical aspects of the relation between digital media, power and knowledge.
