Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students will be able to demonstrate intellectual, transferable and practical skills appropriate to a Level 5 module; and in particular will be able to demonstrate:
- A thorough understanding of a variety of important theories and methods in the anthropology of performance and the arts, including music.
- A good understanding of the uses of these theories and methods in scholarly writing in anthropology and related fields, including ethnomusicology.
- An ability to employ a range of theories and methods in both practical research and in coherent, persuasive arguments.
