Nominations
- We ask all overseas institutions to complete a nomination form for each of their students who plan on applying to study abroad at King's College London as part of an exchange agreement between their home university and King's College London for either one semester or a full year.
- The online nomination form will be found on this page, it will open when the relevant nomination period is due to start. The strict deadline to nominate your semester 1 and full year exchange students for September 2025 entry is 15 March 2025. The strict deadline to nominate your students for January 2026 entry is 1 October 2025. We do not accept student nominations by email.
- The nomination form should not be used by universities that send fee-paying students. Any nominations and subsequent student exchange applications will be discarded.
- Please note that students are not permitted to study at King's in more than one academic year at the same level.
- Please see our Fact Sheet - King's College London 2024-25 and Fact Sheet - King's College London 2025-26 for more details.
- We strongly encourage our partners to try and distribute their nominations evenly across the academic year. Please contact studyabroad@kcl.ac.uk in advance if you plan to nominate considerably more students in one semester than the other.
Please pay attention to the following module information, this may be subject to change for 2025/26:
Please kindly remind your students that if they are nominated under a particular departmental exchange, they must take at least half of their modules from that department. Students nominated under a modern language are permitted to choose modules from any of our modern language departments.

These students will be registered on either the full suite of first or second year modules from the Psychology BSc degree programme, subject to their academic background and only with prior approval from the Psychology Department. Psychology students who want to study at King's for one semester, should consider the modules available in our Biosciences module catalogue. Please contact studyabroad@kcl.ac.uk prior to nomination/application for more information.
Students should be aware of these restrictions when applying to King’s in the first instance, as well as whether or not we actually offer modules in their major to avoid disappointment. Students will be advised how and when to apply for modules if they are not in the initial priority groups.
How to Apply
-
After you have submitted nominations for your exchange students, your nominated students need to apply online here (they will receive a direct email from us). The Admissions team at King's admits students on a rolling basis, so students should be encouraged to get this process started as soon as possible after applications open.
-
Help on the application process can be found on our 'How to apply' webpage or by contacting the Admissions Team via King's Apply. Please also advise your students to read our Study Abroad Application Guidance Notes on the above webpage too!
-
If a student is not being nominated by their home university to study abroad at King's as part of an exchange partnership in place between our universities, they should simply apply online before the deadlines for "all other Study Abroad applications" on our Key Dates page.
