Nomination and application period and deadlines for EXCHANGE programmes (i.e for students from institutions that have an exchange partnership with King’s College London) 

Partner institutions should refer to our Guidance for Overseas partners page for nomination instructions.  Please note that all nominations should be made via our online form and will not be accepted by email.

Application period and deadlines for FEE-PAYING programmes (i.e for students from institutions that do not have an exchange partnership with King’s College London or who have not been nominated) 

Please note: Applications submitted before the deadline which fulfil our entry requirements are not guaranteed to be offered a place; they may be made unsuccessful due to limited capacity on our Study Abroad programmes.   

Offers are made on a rolling basis and we reserve the right to close our application period early if we reach capacity. 

Fee-paying students must not be nominated, any nomination received for a fee-paying student will be disregarded.

Accommodation dates 

Students must have accepted their offer to be eligible to apply for a room in King’s Residences.  Please note that housing is not guaranteed and semester rooms are limited. 

Contracts will run until the dates below and students will be liable for the remainder of their contract if they choose to leave their accommodation early.  Semester 2 contracts are longer than semester 1 as they include the exam period. 

Early arrival in Residences is not guaranteed, and students will need to contact their specific Residence once booked to confirm.  Students must inform their specific Residence of any late arrival otherwise the contract may be cancelled.

Programme and Exam dates 

Please note that we expect students to be in London for our compulsory orientation period.  Failure to arrive in time for the start of teaching may result in withdrawal from the programme. 

Semester 1 only students may sit exams (dependent on the specific module) in December or have remote exams in January.  They are not expected to remain in London for the January exam period, however should be aware that remote exams may take place in UK time.  January exam timetables are typically released in November. 

Full year students are expected to sit any scheduled in-person exams in January as well as the May exam period. 

Exams and assessments will not be rearranged to accommodate personal travel plans or decisions to leave London earlier than the programme end date.  Full year and semester 2 students should not make plans to leave London until their exam timetable has been released, typically in March. 

Please note that final marks and transcripts cannot be released early regardless of the circumstances, as only ratified grades will be published. Students submitting a Mitigating Circumstances Request for an assessment extension should be aware this might mean full results are not available until our period 3 assessment period (Late August/September).
