The Governance and Nominations Committee is a Standing Committee of the Council and is responsible to Council for implementing effective processes concerning the management of the membership of the Council and its Standing Committees. It also has responsibility for the effective operation of Council and its committees and for oversight of Council’s performanceIn particular, it has responsibility for identifying and recommending to the Council appropriate candidates for membership of the Council and its Standing Committees. The Governance and Nominations Committee shall also be responsible for reviewing the Register of Interests and overseeing the induction and training of new members.
At least five independent members of the Council, one of whom shall be the Chair of the Committee
