Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People

Overview

The £65m Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People is set to be the world-leading centre for child and adolescent mental health.

Developed by the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King's College London, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and the Maudsley Charity, the centre will bring together clinicians from the UK’s largest NHS provider of specialist child and adolescent mental health services to work with the largest group of mental health scientists and clinical academics in Europe.

The building will house modern inpatient, outpatient, and crisis mental health care facilities for children and young people, as well as state of the art clinical research facilities.

The Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People is funded by a combination of investments from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College London, Maudsley Charity, and major donors including foundations and individuals.
