Biography
Lord Geidt has been Chair of King’s College Council since August 2016. He chairs the Chair's Committee and the Fellowships & Honorary Degrees Committee; and is a member of the Governance & Nominations Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
Lord Geidt is an alumnus and Fellow of King’s. Until recently, he was for ten years Private Secretary to The Queen, Patron of King’s, having joined the Royal Household in 2002 after a career in military and diplomatic service. A former Fisher Family Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, he graduated in War Studies from King’s, and later studied International Relations at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and Magdalen College, Oxford, of which he is an Honorary Fellow
