Research & Impact
The Teaching Centre of Immunology is a hub for high-quality immunology teaching and training on programmes for medical and non-medical undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students, as well as clinical trainees and post-doctoral fellows.
King’s has a long-established reputation for excellence in immunology, starting with Peter Gorer’s fundamental discovery of murine H-2. Today, his legacy continues with King’s staff whose research expertise covers a wide range of interests in immunology, infection and inflammatory disease.

David is a Senior Lecturer in Immunology and Senior Tutor for the Biomedical Sciences Degree Programme. He has over 20 years of research experience as an immunologist focusing on B cell development and the regulation of antibody production, particularly IgE in allergy and asthma.
