This course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Mandarin who have completed a Mandarin Level 5 course with the King's Language Centre or an equivalent standard.

Develop your text syntax and use of connectors, improve your writing skills and frameworks (cadres d’écriture) and learn how to avoid anglicism. Practise your presentation and exposé skills and cover topics such as the New Wave, French cinema and La Francophonie.

General English: Advanced Level Part 3

Prerequisites: B2 CEFR, Level 1 Skills for Life, Upper Intermediate EFL - Target outcome C1 This course is aimed at students who already have a strong knowledge of English who wish to improve their existing language to a near-fluent standard iso they can operate in a wide variety of situations. All four skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) will be practised, with the main emphasis on speaking. This course will help you gain a greater degree of fluency and accuracy. You will be able to express yourself spontaneously in a clear, fluent and well-structured manner and you will be able to analyse written and/or spoken material.

This course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Italian who have completed an Italian Level 4 course with the King's Language Centre or an equivalent standard.

The course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Japanese with one of the following:  Level 4 of the King’s LC Evening / Saturday / Summer Language Courses  a high degree of fluency and accuracy in the language  B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)  an AS or A-level or equivalent over 4 years old plus further contact with the language  JLPT N4  Advanced level of the Asset Languages qualifications
