German Level 3, Part 1

Enhance your German speaking skills and pursue A2/B1 fluency with the completion of Level 3. The first part will teach you how to use the subjunctive forms of modal verbs and present tense subjunctives, the infinitive with zu and subordinate clauses with während. Practice how to make polite requests, explain the meanings of words, express your wishes and more.

Understand how to use Während, wegen, trotz and the genetive, formulate questions with prepositions, strengthen or weaken statements with ganz, relativ, wirklich, total, absolut and use the past perfect tense, and much more. Practice mediating between languages, clarifying something with examples and taking minutes.

German Level 3, Part 3

Round out your series of German language classes by discovering how to use trotzdem, the pronoun man, subordinate clauses with sodass and past participles as adjectives. You’ll be able to use brauchen + zu + infinitive to say what you do or don’t need, describe something in detail, and make or react to predictions.

This course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in German who have completed a German Level 3 course with the King's Language Centre or an equivalent standard.

German Level 4, Part 2

Level 4 of your German classes will take you to the B1/B2 level of fluency. This part will get you to understand authentic speech easily and communicate confidently on a range of topics using complex grammatical structures. Learn how to use connectors um zu, ohne zu, anstatt zu and alternatives, create relative clauses with wer and use noun-verb connections.

By this stage, you’ll comprehend almost 100% of the literature you’ll receive and be able to write with a high level of accuracy. Understand how to use the passive tense and alternatives, indefinite pronouns, and comparing statements.
