A discussion on European, Eurasian and global security with former UK Ambassador to Ukraine Simon Smith (2007-2012) and Ambassador Natalie Sabanadze.

Some 19 months into the Russian-Ukrainian war, the conflict appears unlikely to go away any time soon, posing new risks and new thinking on European and global security for some time to come. This roundtable, moderated by Dr Marc Berenson (King's), will bring together Ambassador Smith, who has a 35-year career in the UK diplomatic service (including his term as an Ambassador to Ukraine), and Ambassador Sabanadze, who served as the head of the Georgian mission to the EU and worked earlier as a senior official at the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities in the Hague.

Ambassador Smith is currently the chairman of the Steering Committee of Ukraine Forum at the Chatham House and Ambassador Sabanadze is a Senior Research Fellow at the Chatham House.

The event will take place in Bush House Lecture Theatre 2.
