Speaker bio

Maísa Edwards is a PhD student with the King's Brazil Institute and the University of São Paulo. Her PhD pertains to International Relations.

She holds an MSc in Brazil in Global Perspective from King’s College London and a BA(Hons) French and Spanish from University College London. Her research at master’s level focused on Anglo-Brazilian diplomatic and defence relations in the 1980s, Her dissertation was titled, ‘What were the effects of the Falklands War (1982) on Anglo-Brazilian diplomatic and defence relations between 1982-1990?’

She has worked in London for multinational organisations, such as CNN and Coca-Cola, as well as in the French West Indies for the British Council.

This event will take place both in person in the Dockrill Room at King's College London and online via Zoom.
